A 45-year-old farmer of Swan One Mile Turn, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, was taken into custody on Friday following the discovery of a quantity of ganja during a Police patrol in the vicinity of Soesdyke Junction, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
During the Police operation, a search was conducted on his person, during which a haversack was found containing one transparent plastic parcel with 17 Ziploc bags containing the cannabis.
As such, he was arrested and taken to the Timehri Police Station, where the cannabis was weighed and amounted to 66 grams. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
