THE multi-million-dollar wrongful dismissal claim brought by former Central Bank governor Dr Alvin Hilaire against the State has been settled without the matter proceeding to trial.
The announcement was made yesterday by attorneys representing both Hilaire and the Office of the Attorney General when the claim was called before Justice Lisa Ramsumair-Hinds in the Port of Spain High Court.
In a response to the Express, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said the State was pleased with the outcome.
