The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has not issued any instructions to lay charges against anyone regarding the shooting of a 65-year-old Chaguanas grandmother Susan Medrano St Louis.
St Louis and her relatives had gone to purchase doubles at a Cunupia doubles stand on Saturday morning, when her relatives got in an argument with strangers over a parking spot. The argument escalated to a fight, where two of St Louis’ relatives were stabbed. One of St Louis’ relatives, who is a licensed firearm holder and prisons officer, pulled out his Glock pistol and fired three shots at his attackers, accidentally shooting and killing St Louis in the process. The wounded relatives were taken to the hospital, where they were treated for stab wounds.
