In its GenĀerĀal ElecĀtion manĀiĀfesto, the UnitĀed NaĀtionĀal ConĀgress (UNC) had proĀposed this move as part of its stratĀeĀgy to adĀdress crime and enĀhance seĀcuĀriĀty.
