Forty-nine farmers who were previously issued leases at Seafield, Region Five, will be facilitated to occupy their respective lands as the government moves to resolve a longstanding dispute that has affected agricultural activity in the area.
Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha announced the decision during a meeting on Saturday, with farmers and residents of Shieldstown and Seafield.
Several concerns affecting agriculture in the surrounding communities were raised at the meeting.
