A Carenage resident sustained multiple injuries, including a broken right arm, after allegedly being attacked by his nephew at his home last week.
Police said that around 10 p.m. on August 6, the 47-year-old man was asleep on the living room couch at his home on Smith Hill, Carenage, when he was awoken by his nephew striking him about the body with a blunt object believed to be a baseball bat.
The victim ran outside to avoid further blows, called out to neighbours and began contacting police. The suspect fled the scene.
