NaÂtionÂal ParÂent Teacher AsÂsoÂciÂaÂtion (NPTA) presÂiÂdent, WalÂter StewÂart, is apÂpealÂing to PoÂlice ComÂmisÂsionÂer, AlÂlisÂter GueÂvarÂro, to work with them to curb school viÂoÂlence.
His call came afÂter GueÂvarÂro, on June 17 durÂing his inÂauÂguÂraÂtion, isÂsued a strong cauÂtion to parÂents, warnÂing that unÂder his leadÂerÂship, school viÂoÂlence and youth delinÂquenÂcy will not be tolÂerÂatÂed.
He said if parÂents do not deal with their wayÂward chilÂdren, the poÂlice will take acÂtion.
