Former minister of public administration in the Patrick Manning government Kennedy Swaratsingh appeared as a speaker at the United National Congress’ town hall meeting in St Joseph last night—the constituency he once held for the People’s National Movement.
Swaratsingh endorsed Kamla Persad-Bissessar as the next prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago and expressed his willingness to offer her ideas as a “finance professional” to improve the country’s economic situation.
These ideas, Swaratsingh said, were declined by former finance minister Colm Imbert.
