THE wooden and bamboo footpath constructed across the Godineau River in St John’s Village, Avocat, has returned some level of normalcy to the farming community, residents say.

Families were able to reconnect during the long Carnival weekend.

Visitors parked their vehicles in a clearing near the pathway and walked to their relatives’ homes, something they had not been able to do for seven months.
