A man underwent emergency treatment after he was chopped on the head while in Princes Town on Friday afternoon.
The 39-year-old man of King Street, Princes Town was near the San Fernando taxi stand around 4.30 p.m. when he was approached by two men with cutlasses, who were unknown to him. They dealt him blows about his body and he was chopped on the left side of the head. He managed to escape, and made his way to the Princes Town police station.
Officers took him to the Princes Town District Health facility to seek emergency medical attention. From there, he was transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital for further treatment.
