Police are searching for a man described as mentally unstable after another man was chopped to death in Woodbrook yesterday afternoon.
According to reports, around 1:20 p.m. officers attached to the Woodbrook Police Station were on mobile patrol when they received a report of a chopping incident at the corner of Gatacre and Kitchener Streets, Woodbrook.
When they arrived, the officers found a man of mixed descent lying at the side of the roadway. The victim, believed to be homeless, was about six feet tall, of slim build and brown complexion, with a rasta hairstyle. He was wearing a red jersey and unkempt brown pants and was barefoot. Police said he had wounds to his left forearm and right foot, and blood was seen oozing from the injuries.
