Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a re­port that a man who was re­port­ed miss­ing may have been killed, af­ter his moth­er told of­fi­cers she re­ceived mul­ti­ple calls claim­ing he was shot dur­ing an al­ter­ca­tion in the Beetham area and his body dumped in near­by lo­ca­tions.

A re­port has been made to po­lice con­cern­ing the dis­ap­pear­ance of 46-year-old Ja­mal Jes­sop, who was last seen on De­cem­ber 20.

The re­port states that Sher­ry Ann Jes­sop told of­fi­cers her son has been suf­fer­ing from a men­tal ill­ness for sev­er­al years and has been re­ceiv­ing med­ica­tion and treat­ment through St Ann’s. She in­di­cat­ed that this was the first time he had ever been miss­ing for such a pro­longed pe­ri­od.
