Police are investigating a report that a man who was reported missing may have been killed, after his mother told officers she received multiple calls claiming he was shot during an altercation in the Beetham area and his body dumped in nearby locations.
A report has been made to police concerning the disappearance of 46-year-old Jamal Jessop, who was last seen on December 20.
The report states that Sherry Ann Jessop told officers her son has been suffering from a mental illness for several years and has been receiving medication and treatment through St Ann’s. She indicated that this was the first time he had ever been missing for such a prolonged period.
