The body of a Laventille man reported missing on Sunday was found yesterday in a swamp near a Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) facility.
Police identified the victim as Jamal Jessop, 28, of Eastern Quarry, Laventille. He had been shot multiple times.
Besson Street police said Jessop’s mother reported her son missing on Sunday after receiving a phone call indicating he had been shot during an altercation with other men. She told officers that he had not been home that morning and expressed concern due to his history of mental health issues for which he had been receiving treatment.
