(Kaieteur News) â Joshua Crawford, a 26-year-old mechanic of Lot 21 Alness Village, Corentyne lost his life after he was involved in a road accident at Nigg Public Road, Corentyne on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at about 05:11 hours, according to police in Region Six, and involved motorcar # PZZ 5030, which was owned and driven by Crawford, and a motor lorry # GAF 3405, owned by Raveena Biysoondial, of Port Mourant, Corentyne, Berbice. The lorry was reportedly driven by 29-year-old Raymond Swamber, also of Alness Village.
Police stated that at the time, the lorry was heading east along the northern drive lane on the above-mentioned road, proceeding allegedly at a normal rate of speed, while Crawford was proceeding west along the southern drive lane. Crawfordâs car reportedly suddenly turned north into the lane of the motor lorry, which resulted in a collision between the two vehicles.
