Leader of the United National Congress, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, has pledged to build a Spiritual Baptist Secondary School if re-elected to government.
Persad-Bissessar made the announcement while addressing the Annual Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day Thanksgiving Service at the Moruga Multi-Purpose Youth and Sport Facility.
As Persad-Bissessar addressed the gathering, she was flanked at the podium by UNC candidate for Moruga/Tableland, Michelle Benjamin, and UNC deputy political leader, Jearlean John. She shared that, as a child, she was anointed in the Spiritual Baptist faith.
