Cabinet approved about $51 million in National Bursaries for the year 2024, said Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training Prof Prakash Persad.

Persad said this value accounted for about 345 bursaries, a figure he said was larger than previous years.

He said the process to qualify for a bursary was transparent, and once a candidate met the criteria, the bursary would be given.
