The Ministry of Defence has launched an investigation into drone activities near ANR Robinson International Airport, Crown Point, where a radar system installed by the United States military is located.
The Ministry of Defence issued a release yesterday, signed by Defence Minister Wayne Sturge, expressing “great concern” over illegal drone activities in close proximity to both Piarco International and ANR Robinson International airports.
Guardian Media, on December 21, published an aerial photograph which it said was captured by a drone and shared with the media house on November 30. The image showed the radar which was installed at ANR Robinson International Airport, a tent, portable toilets and some vehicles.
