(Kaieteur News) – The Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Seven has disclosed that final works are underway to have the new $213 million Karrau Secondary School in the Lower Mazaruni fully completed and ready for the new academic year.
The RDC recently reported that Regional Executive Officer (REO) Dr. Josh Kanhai, joined by Toshao Shane Cornelius, visited the school and inspected the final works ongoing there, noting that “construction and furnishing [is] now 99.5% complete.”
“Discussions also focused on the final preparations to ensure the school is thoroughly cleaned, with all furniture cleaned, arranged, and classrooms fully organised, creating a safe, welcoming, and conducive learning environment for students and teachers ahead of the new academic term,” the RDC posted on its Facebook page.
