IT has been five days since 32-year-old Stefan Leith was brutally stabbed by a man he would identify to police before taking his last breath at the Princes Town District Health Facility. But to date, relatives say, the man suspected of killing Leith has not been arrested.
Leith, a scaffolder and a rigger originally from Point Fortin, was stabbed in the chest by a man he knew while walking along Waterlane Street in Princes Town on Thursday evening. He was able to get in a car to be taken to the health facility, and to send his girlfriend a voice-note identifying the man, police were told.
Relatives confirmed to the Express yesterday that Leith was also able to relay the information to police at the hospital before his passing. According to police, Leith's girlfriend had allegedly ended a relationship with the suspect, taking out a protection order two years ago.
