(Kaieteur News) – The GFF is moving forward with its plan to increase access to quality football infrastructure as the installation works of football turf for FIFA Arena Mini-Pitch at Retrieve, Linden Region 10 nears completion.
The Mini pitch is a major step towards giving young footballers in Linden, a city associated with producing some of the top football talents in the country, and surrounding communities more opportunities to participate in structured football programmes, develop their skills and play the sport in a dedicated playing environment.
The Retrieve facility is one of two FIFA Arena Mini-Pitches donated to Guyana by FIFA as part of FIFA’s global FIFA Arena initiative, which supports the objectives of FIFA Football for Schools (F4S) programme. The second being is at Haslington, East Coast Demerara.
