A 17-year-old Ca­roni school­girl was pis­tol-whipped by ban­dits who stormed her fam­i­ly’s home rob­bing every­one in­side on Tues­day night.

Po­lice said the fam­i­ly of five and their neigh­bour were at their Ca­roni South­bank Road, Kel­ly Vil­lage, home at around 8.35 pm when three masked ban­dits stormed the house.

One of the sus­pects was armed with a gun and struck the girl on her head, be­fore hit­ting the girl’s fa­ther on the left side of his face when he hes­is­tat­ed in hand­ing over the keys to a car that was parked out­side.
