The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will implement the International Cricket Council’s T20 International playing conditions beginning with the upcoming season.
This adjustment aligns CPL matches with the global standard and follows recent updates to ICC T20I regulations, including stricter over rate rules. These rules have contributed to shorter and more consistent match durations at the international level.
Tournament Operations Director Michael Hall said the CPL had taken note of the improvements these changes had brought to the global game.
