Crick­et fans across the Caribbean can now mark their cal­en­dars: the fourth edi­tion of the Massy Women’s Caribbean Pre­mier League (WC­PL) is set to take place from Sep­tem­ber 6 to 17 with all sev­en match­es slat­ed for the Prov­i­dence Sta­di­um in Guyana.

Re­turn­ing for their fourth con­sec­u­tive year, the three pow­er­house fran­chise teams—Bar­ba­dos Roy­als, Trin­ba­go Knight Rid­ers, and Guyana Ama­zon War­riors—will each face off against the oth­ers twice in a dou­ble round-robin for­mat, cul­mi­nat­ing in an in­tense fi­nal show­down be­tween the top two teams.

The WC­PL, since its in­cep­tion in 2022, has steadi­ly grown in­to the pre­mier women’s T20 com­pe­ti­tion in the West In­dies. From a mod­est sin­gle-venue se­ries, the tour­na­ment has ex­pand­ed to mul­ti­ple lo­ca­tions, stronger spon­sor­ship back­ing, and a ris­ing qual­i­ty of play. No­tably, the Bar­ba­dos Roy­als en­ter the 2025 tour­na­ment as de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons, hav­ing claimed the ti­tle in both 2023 and 2024.
