Po­lice have now iden­ti­fied the six in­di­vid­u­als, among them a woman, who were de­tained fol­low­ing a March 17 raid at a house along Mar­shall Trace, Munroe Road, Cunu­pia, link­ing them to an or­gan­ised crim­i­nal group in­volved in hu­man traf­fick­ing and pros­ti­tu­tion.

Fifty-four peo­ple were held dur­ing the joint op­er­a­tion by the Counter Traf­fick­ing Unit and the Crime Sup­pres­sion Unit. Six of them were sub­se­quent­ly kept un­der Pre­ven­tive De­ten­tion Or­ders (PDOs), signed by Min­is­ter of Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Roger Alexan­der un­der the Emer­gency Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions, 2026, on sus­pi­cion of op­er­at­ing what law en­force­ment said was a ma­jor hu­man traf­fick­ing and pros­ti­tu­tion ring.
