(Kaieteur News) – Police in Region Six have arrested a 53-year-old Georgetown man after allegedly finding 81 grams of suspected ecstasy concealed on his person during an operation at No. 78 Foreshore, Corentyne, Berbice.
According to police, the discovery was made at about 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, after ranks acting on information observed a speedboat arriving from Suriname with the man as its sole passenger.
He was intercepted and escorted to the Springlands Police Station, where a search conducted in the presence of police ranks allegedly uncovered two transparent plastic bags and one black plastic parcel hidden in the crotch area of his pants.
