CARIĀCOM IMĀPACS says a four-week reĀgionĀal opĀerĀaĀtion has disĀruptĀed transnaĀtionĀal smugĀgling netĀworks and seized an esĀtiĀmatĀed US$54.5 milĀlion in ilĀlicĀit asĀsets and conĀtraĀband.
OpĀerĀaĀtion Eclipse, carĀried out in May, inĀvolved 14 CARIĀCOM memĀber states, sevĀen asĀsoĀciate memĀbers and inĀterĀnaĀtionĀal partĀners inĀcludĀing the US, CanaĀda, ColomĀbia, France, the UK and INĀTERĀPOL.
AuĀthorĀiĀties seized more than 5.2 tonnes of coĀcaine, valĀued at over US$44 milĀlion, and 1.8 tonnes of marĀiĀjuaĀna, valĀued at more than US$6.8 milĀlion.
