Two Trinidadian citizens were arrested on Wednesday under provisional arrest warrants issued by the United States.
The operation was carried out by US Embassy personnel assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Vetted Unit, with support from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Special Investigative Unit (SIU).
Daveanan Deonarine and Michael Samsondar were both wanted in the Eastern District of Louisiana, where they were charged with conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States.
