Three Trinidad and Tobago nationals, including an active-duty police officer, were arrested on December 30, 2025, following a joint operation involving U.S. and local law enforcement authorities.
U.S. Embassy personnel from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Vetted Unit, supported by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Special Investigative Unit (SIU) and the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU), executed three provisional arrest warrants for Rafael Joseph, Michael McSween, and Clevon Persad.
Joseph is currently serving as a police officer with the TTPS.
