A LAVENTILLE man is facing prison time after being convicted on Friday for the repeated buggery of a 15-year-old boy whom he lured away from a downtown fast-food restaurant eleven years ago.
Nigel Gordon Phillip, a gypsum mudman and labourer, was found guilty by a jury following a trial before Justice Nalini Singh. The jury deliberated for approximately one hour before returning the unanimous guilty verdict.
The state's case, led by Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Dylan Martin alongside state attorneys Josiah Soo Hon and Khi Cambridge, detailed a sequence of events that began on March 4, 2015.
