In response to worsening weather conditions linked to a Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert, the Division of Education, Research and Technology (DERTech) has announced the immediate suspension of all curriculum activities across the island.
This decision was made following advisories from the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).
The announcement, issued early Tuesday, affects all schools under DERTech’s authority. While some institutions had already dismissed students earlier in the day due to localised incidents, DERTech has now mandated a full closure of all schools as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
