DEMAND at the start of Lent has already driven fish and seafood prices up from last week.
But those going vegetarian will enjoy some of the lowest prices for this period in recent years.
As is typical of the Lenten season starting on Ash Wednesday, the retail prices of fish and seafood have increased, as many Christians have given up the eating of meat and for 40 days adopt a more pescatarian-inclined diet.
