Seafood lovers are paying up to $50 a pound for fish during this Lenten season.

Dylkael Charles, 33, of Haig Street, Carenage, said the cost of fish has nearly doubled in recent weeks.

He said fish previously sold for $18 to $20 per pound before the recent increase.
