In what appears to be a veiled message to the PNM screening committee days before his own vetting, Finance Minister Colm Imbert says the next electoral term will be his last.

Imbert, who is the Member of Parliament for Diego Martin North/East, was speaking with the media yesterday at the sod-turning ceremony for the new headquarters of the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) at the corner of Lamy Street and Saddle Road in St Clair.

He said there were a number of projects he wanted to complete before demitting his constituency office.
