The UWI Seis­mic Re­search Cen­tre (UWI Seis­mic) has con­firmed that two earth­quakes shook Trinidad and To­ba­go be­fore 7 o’clock this morn­ing, with one quake be­ing felt in Trinidad as far south as San Fer­nan­do, and as far east as Ari­ma and Scar­bor­ough in To­ba­go.

In its so­cial me­dia pages, UWI Seis­mic re­ports that the first quake of mag­ni­tude 5.1, oc­curred at 5:45 am (lo­cal time), at lat­i­tude 11.35 de­grees north and lon­gi­tude 60.60 de­grees west.

Its depth is said to be at 59 kilo­me­tres.
