The Uni­ver­si­ty of the West In­dies Seis­mic Re­search Cen­tre (UWI SRC) re­port­ed an earth­quake near Trinidad and To­ba­go this evening.

The pre­lim­i­nary au­to­mat­ic lo­ca­tion record­ed the earth­quake at 7:50 pm lo­cal time (23:50 UTC) on 24 Oc­to­ber 2025. The tremor reg­is­tered a mag­ni­tude of 5.0 and oc­curred at a depth of 44 kilo­me­tres.

The epi­cen­tre was cal­cu­lat­ed at 10.82°N lat­i­tude and 61.80°W lon­gi­tude, ap­prox­i­mate­ly 36 kilo­me­tres north­west of Port of Spain, 61 kilo­me­tres west-north­west of Ari­ma, and 73 kilo­me­tres north­west of San Fer­nan­do.
