Homicide detectives, forensic officers and other police officers of the Central Police Division were at the Forres Park dump in Claxton Bay on Friday after reports surfaced that human body parts were found at the site.
The police teams were at the dumpsite for several hours, sifting through heaps of refuse and discarded material in search of additional remains and evidence that could assist their investigation.
When the Express visited, several officers were seen looking into buckets allegedly containing the human body parts. Some wore masks or had bandanas covering their noses.
