Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the storage of seven human cadavers discovered at a compound in Central Trinidad on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
According to a media release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s Corporate Communications Unit, officers of the Multi-Agency Task Force (MATF) received a request from the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) on Wednesday, September 16, to visit a location off the Uriah Butler Highway, south of Courts and adjacent to Conex Readymix Ltd.
At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, MATF officers and EMA personnel proceeded to the location, where they met a man who identified himself as the operator of an establishment on the compound. He was informed of the EMA’s report, and an inspection of the premises was conducted. During the inspection, officers discovered seven human cadavers being stored in a refrigeration unit within a building on the compound.
