A Couva man who initially told police that his wife was shot during a robbery at their home, has been charged with murder

Police received instructions yesterday to lay charges against Sydney Singh, who was detained shortly after the death of his wife, 48-year-old Kamnee Thackurdeen.

Thackurdeen died at the San Fernando General Hospital around midday on July 23, the day after she was shot in the chest at her Market Street, Couva.
