Police are investigating a kidnapping incident in Arouca that left a 42-year-old man shaken after his vehicle was stolen on Tuesday evening.
The victim reported that around 7.15 p.m. on September 09, he was driving his silver Nissan Tiida, registration PCT 2721, north along Range Road, Five Rivers, Arouca, in the company of a man he knows. The victim said his "friend" asked him to stop and pick up three unknown individuals at the side of the road.
Once they entered the vehicle, the front seat passenger allegedly announced a robbery, forced the victim out of the driver’s seat, and placed him in the trunk. The suspects then drove off with the vehicle.
