An Arou­ca man was robbed of his car, a gold chain and $60,000 cash in Tacarigua, af­ter the ban­dits bounced his car, forc­ing him to stop whilst in traf­fic.

The 42-year-old of St Clair Road in Arou­ca was dri­ving his black Nis­san Ti­i­da along the East­ern Main Road around 4:45 pm on Thurs­day, when he felt an­oth­er ve­hi­cle col­lide with his in the vicin­i­ty of St Michael Street in Tacarigua.

As he ex­it­ed his car to speak with the dri­ver of the car that had hit him, the front seat pas­sen­ger of that car emerged and point­ed a gun at him and de­mand­ed cash and valu­ables.
