KestheBand has achieved a historic milestone for Caribbean music, becoming the first Soca group to sell out Vancouver’s renowned Commodore Ballroom, one of Canada’s most iconic live entertainment venues.
The sold-out show, held as part of the band’s Roots, Rock, Soca Tour, marks a significant achievement for the Trinidad and Tobago-based group and underscores the growing international appeal of Soca music. The Commodore Ballroom, a fixture of Canada’s West Coast music scene for nearly a century, has hosted some of the world’s most celebrated performers, including David Bowie, Nirvana, KISS, Tina Turner, Radiohead, Coldplay and The Tragically Hip.
The historic concert drew a capacity crowd, with fans filling the venue and singing along to popular hits such as “Savannah Grass”, “Hello”, “Tuesday on the Rocks” and “Jolene.” The performance transformed the landmark venue into a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture and music.
