Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles says the Opposition will write to President Christine KangaÂloo over the Governmentâs attack on Independent senators, and questioned whether the administration is departing from established parliamentary practice.
Beckles made the comments yesterday while speaking with memÂbers of the media outside Parliament, Red House, Port of Spain.
She said the Opposition was not surprised by the developments, pointing to recent statements by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-ÂBissessar about Independent senators.
