Authorities are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains at a cemetery in Arima.
The find was reported by the secretary of the Santa Rosa R.C. Church in Arima, after the cemetery supervisor alerted her around 3 p.m. on Wednesday. The supervisor reportedly discovered an open coffin containing what appeared to be a human skull.
Police officers were directed to the northwest side of the cemetery, where they observed a small coffin containing a skull, clothing, Hindu pictures, murtis, oils, and candles surrounding the coffin.
