A father and his stepson were hospitalised after they were electrocuted while fleeing their home during an apparent electrical incident in Rampanalgas Village, Balandra, early Thursday morning.

Police said the incident occurred at about 4.30 a.m. at the home of Stephanie Charles, 45, of Lot 1 Rampanalgas Village.

Charles told investigators that she was at home with her family when she heard a loud noise and saw a bright flash of light, which she initially believed was a fire. She, along with four other family members, attempted to evacuate the house.
