South West­ern Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two home in­va­sions that oc­curred hours apart in Pe­nal and Fyz­abad on Thurs­day.

In the first in­ci­dent, around 2.45 pm, an 18-year-old woman of Dook­ie Street was in her liv­ing room when the front door swung open and two men, with cloths cov­er­ing their heads and faces and wear­ing gloves, walked in and point­ed a gun at her.

They de­mand­ed mon­ey and jew­ellery, steal­ing her gold be­ra, gold ring band, a PlaySta­tion 5 val­ued at $3,000, and $850 in cash. Sgt Bood­lal, Cpl Gaf­far, PC Wears, and WPC Nor­eiga of the Pe­nal CID vis­it­ed the scene and in­quiries are con­tin­u­ing.
