THE Children’s Life Fund Bill will be amended and expanded today to ensure children who are inflicted with life-threatening illnesses—including cancer, heart and kidney disease—can access funds for medical treatment.
As promised by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the Children’s Life Fund (Amendment) Act, 2025 will be presented and debated in the House of Representatives today.
It will be the first legislative item of her new administration and aims to broaden the scope and reach of the Fund.
