Four automated teller machines (ATMs) were damaged during a pre-dawn act of vandalism at the First Citizens Bank branch on Independence Square, Port of Spain, on Wednesday.
The estimated cost of the damage is $33,000.
Around 4a.m., a security officer from Amalgamated Security Services Limited stationed at the bank’s Credit Card Centre on nearby Chacon Street was alerted by a pedestrian to the incident. The officer discovered that the display screens of four ATM units had been smashed.
