KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC) is reminding the commuting public that seating on all its buses is allocated on a first come, first served basis and should not be reserved for individuals who are not already on board.
The State-run bus company in a statement Wednesday, said the reminder follows reports of some commuters occupying or holding seats for family members, friends, or acquaintances while other passengers are left standing despite available seating.
“JUTC is appealing to all customers to be considerate of their fellow commuters and to help maintain a fair, respectful, and orderly travelling environment for everyone,” said Corporate Communications Manager at the JUTC, Shantole Thompson.
