Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said she would have booed Public Utilities Minister Barry Pada­rath for his “terrible” attempt at singing had she atten­ded the Hyatt Lime fete in Port of Spain on Wednesday.

A video that went viral later that night showed Padarath addres­sing the crowd from the stage and praising Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John.

He also attempted to sing the chorus of Machel Montano’s hit song, “Give Them Performance”.
