A man who was shot dur­ing an at­tempt­ed home in­va­sion in Carn­bee, To­ba­go, stunned po­lice by call­ing them for help—then con­fess­ing to the crime while be­ing treat­ed at the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

Po­lice say the man con­tact­ed them him­self and was tak­en to hos­pi­tal for treat­ment.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred around 3:20 a.m. on Sun­day at a home in Sher­wood Court, Sher­wood Park. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, the home­own­er—a busi­ness­man and li­censed firearm hold­er—heard a noise out­side and saw a shad­owy fig­ure near his bed­room win­dow.
